Send a Tonnage (& Use) Enquiry

Tip

Tonnage (and Use) Enquiries can be sent to an external company to obtain information about product tonnage and usage per year. Users can enter quantities they have imported under a specific regulation and select any relevant uses. Contact information is also requested and there is an option to upload supporting documents and company (entity) information.
When contacts respond to the enquiry, the user who sent out the enquiry and those who have notifications enabled for that product record will receive notifications.
When contacts submit an enquiry response, internal users can review and accept the response. When accepted, the tonnage data cascades into the system.
Below is a preview of a Tonnage Enquiry that a contact will see:

Warning

To send a Tonnage (& Use) Enquiry to a contact there are prerequisites:

  • The contact(s) to send the enquiry to must exist in the database.
  • When the entity is linked to the product, the "Business Role" given must either be a "Non-Distributor" or "Importer of Record" (Link Product to Entity).

1. 👆 Navigate to products.

2. 👆 Click the product of interest from the list.

3. 👆 Navigate to the regulatory tab.

4. 👆 Select the relevant regulation 👉 Tonnage.

5. 👆 Expand the chevron for the year to send an enquiry about.

6. 👆 Click "Create New Tonnage / Tonnage And Use Enquiry". The page will redirect to the "Tonnage Wizard".

7. 👆 Select the relevant option from the list, then follow the Tonnage Wizard by clicking the "Next" buttons.

Tip

When on the "DISTRIBUTOR" step of the wizard, ensure to select the same "Business Role" that was given to the entity when it was linked to the product.

8. Navigate back to the Regulatory 👉 Tonnage screen to see that the enquiry has been sent. It can be found under the relevant year.
