Link Documents to Constituents, Products and Entities

Tip

It is useful to link documents to constituents, products or entities to give the document more context. It helps provide information on what the document relates to. For example; when a product is linked to a document, the document will show up on the product record. So when viewing a product record, any documents associated to it will be listed. It is similar for entities and constituents.

1. 👆 Navigate to Documents 👉 Search Documents.

2. 🔍 Find the document of interest using the document search.

3. 👆 Click the edit icon for the relevant document.

4. 👆 Click "EDIT".

5. 👆 Select the constituent to be linked in the "Constituent(s)" field.

6. 👆 Select the product to be linked in the "Products(s)" field.

7. 👆 Select the entity to be linked in the "Entity(s)" field.

Tip

To link a document to multiple products / constituents / entities at once, it may be faster to create a product / constituent / entity group and instead assign the group here.

8. 👆 Click "SAVE".

9. 🥳 The document has been linked to a Constituent, Product and Entity.
